BearingPoint New Zealand Ltd, Level 6, 10 Viaduct Harbour Avenue
Consultant
Consultant with BearingPoint in the Enterprise Data Management group.
Involved mainly in the Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence and system implementation based projects with the following roles:
• Played a dual role as a Business Analyst/Functional Architect on the Interconnect Billing Systems Implementation project for a major Telecommunications company in New Zealand. InterconnecT (i.e. the market leading Interconnect and Wholesale Billing application developed by Intec Telecom Systems PLC.) was proposed as the new Interconnect Billing system. The Project was set up due to the Wholesale business need to replace the range of current manual and semi-automated processes to bill all international and domestic voice interconnect traffic on a timely and accurate basis. During the Detail Design phase of the project I was working closely with the Billing System Vendor, Technical Primes, Wholesale, Billing Operations and Finance business units to produce a Functional Specification that captured the current state and the proposed state of the Interconnect billing architecture, the changes to existing interfaces and defining any new interfaces to Billing Mediation Platform, Bill Printing, Identity Management System and defining the operational and analytical reporting requirements of users within the Wholesale, Billing Operations and Finance business units.

• Provided Business Analyst services during the Detail Analysis Phase of a Customer Data Security Project for a major Telecommunications company in New Zealand. The Objective of the Data Security Project was to secure ratings, discounts and billing data for the respective customers of the Retail and Wholesale Business Units of the company. The Project was setup to give assurance to the Wholesale customers that their data was secure from the Retail sales areas, since any disclosure of Wholesale Customer data to the Retail Sales areas constitutes a breach of confidentiality. I lead the gathering of detailed Business Requirements, this involved working with Business Users from various Business units namely Finance, Contact Centers, Operations, Wholesale and Retail Sales areas. Following a number of workshops I delivered and produced a detail Business Requirement document capturing the requirements pertaining to the Wholesale Data Security. Subsequent to the signing-off the Business Requirements document, I then worked closely with the Technical Primes for CRM, Identity Vault, Billing and Data Warehouse systems to produce a Functional Specification, supporting the Business Requirements.
