CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a global provider of technology solutions with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an experienced and talented IT Project Manager to join their expanding team of professionals.
Role Overview:
The Project Manager will lead and manage global projects of varying size through their end to end project lifecycle. They will work with clients and internal teams to ensure resources are managed, client requirements are translated into business requirements, and solutions are agreed and delivered to plan, on time and budget, and to a high standard. They will be accountable for projects’ key performance indicators and overall success.
The Project Manager will be responsible for defining the project plan baseline and ongoing monitoring and control during project execution, leveraging industry best practices and project management methodologies to ensure effective governance throughout. They will deal with issue, risk and change management etc. and present status updates to internal and external stakeholders, including senior sponsors, to ensure ongoing alignment and ultimately successful outcomes.
Key Skills/Experience:
- 6+ years of proven end to end project management experience in the Financial Services industry.
- Software implementation experience is considered key.
- Experience and knowledge of application development methods and the software development lifecycle preferably with banking / payment applications.
- Experience managing multiple client projects in a virtual and multi-national team environment with a track record of successful delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships at different levels with a variety of stakeholders and lead multiple teams working under pressure.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as PMI and Prince 2.
- Experience creating and maintaining project documentation in accordance with enterprise standards e.g. Project plans, RAID, Status reports, dashboards etc.
- Ability to direct project outcomes based on long-term business objectives and handle tasks of high complexity and risk.
- Experience of working in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Computer Science, MIS, Business or Finance.
- PMI / PMP certified or equivalent.
- Logical thinker with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong ability to learn new technologies and positively handle situations / tasks of wide ranging complexity.
- Flexibility to travel as required is a must.
- PC skills including MS Office and MS Project.
- Flexibility to work unsociable hours with clients and teams in different time zones when required.
