Job Description
A well-established English language institute in Limassol is currently seeking a female event planner and marketing assistant to oversee and promote their international English language learning programmes.
The successful candidate should have completed the degree in Management, or Marketing, or Public Relations, or Media and Communications, desirable in the last 3 years so as to enter the HRDA funding scheme,if not applications will be accepted.
The institute is offering this position on the terms of a paid internship (between 930 and 1200 euro per month, under a newly announced government scheme for young unemployed people).
The responsibilities will be the following:
1. To promote a suite of English language courses (Language Conquests-EFL) to international education/travel agents abroad.
2. To find international students (16+) who want to improve their English and are interested in combining English language learning with leisure/holiday.
3. To contact hotels and hotel apartments in Limassol to obtain good rates for students and use their hotel as a possible venue for in-house teaching,
4. To ensure that promotional materials are distributed to prospective clients and to maintain contact with them.
5. To arrange activities for the students in the afternoons with various local people that we have connections with.
6. To keep our website up to date including writing articles for the website’s blog.
The applicant needs to be fluent in English with good communication and writing skills. Knowledge of Russian would be a huge advantage, but not obligatory.
